Our Commitment
Counteracting erosion of knowledge with regard to nature, landscape, agriculture and food
Today’s kids know more cell phone tunes than bird songs, they can name more TV-stations than flowering plants. The loss of knowledge with regard to nature increasingly endangers the capability to deal with the future. We usually only protect what we know.
Precautionary measures for climate protection and protection of resources by sustainable development
People who lack the essentials to survive can hardly be convinced to protect endangered animal species and plants and to keep forests as ‘Green Lungs’ for the earth. Within the framework of selected model projects for a sustainable regional development we are not only engaged to bring together ecology and economy but we also encourage experts from science, business and nature protection to work and act together.
Conservation of biological diversity as indispensable natural heritage
Not only since the effects of climate change became more and more evident, many animal species and plants have been endangered or threatened by extinction through misuse of resources and over-exploitation of nature. More and more people are engaged in efforts to protect their natural basis for livelihood. And by helping them to find either experts ,practical or financial support on an international level we consider this to be one of the positive aspects of globalisation. Our motto is to provide support so that others will be able to support too.
Sustainable food production as a contribution to healthcare and as a protection measure for man-made landscapes
In many regions land use and intensive agriculture practices resulted in a reduction of animal species and plants. It resulted not only in a loss in environmental quality but also in quality of life. Consequently, many possibilities of marketing environmental-friendly tourism cannot be realized. In addition, there is an increase in allergies and other diseases caused by consuming immense amounts of processed conventional food and other finished products by a vast majority of the population. Our foundation points out these interrelations and presents solutions which equally take into consideration ecological, economic and social aspects of the issue.
